The Public Prosecution had, in February last year, charged Kadoro Vaseilva with public indecency.

Vaseilva, an adult non-Muslim, was also accused of consuming alcohol in public.

The Sharjah Misdemeanour Court, in March last year, found her guilty and slapped her with Dh1,000 each for seduction and consuming liquor. She was also ordered to be deported.

Kadoro contested the verdict at the Sharjah Shariah Court of appeal, but her plea was turned down and the lower court’s verdict upheld.

She also moved the apex court, which also upheld the verdicts of the lower courts.
