Amit Shah
Amit Shah is the Home Affairs Minister in modi 2.0 government. Amit Shah led BJP to victory in the 2019 Indian general election, becoming the most successful BJP president ever, in the process. During the election campaign, he visited 312 of the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, holding 18 road shows, 161 public meetings, and over 1,500 BJP meetings. He is often referred to as a modern day Chanakya.
Satya Nadella
Made the CEO of Microsoft in 2014, Satya Nadella was previously reputed for being a "mild-mannered" manager at Sun Microsystems. At Microsoft, Nadella led a major transformation through the launch of huge projects resulting in the company's move to cloud computing. LinkedIn has been acquired by Microsoft two years after Nadella took over as CEO, making it the largest deal under the company's history.
Shashi Tharoor
He has invented words leaving tweeters dazzled, such as "webaqoof" (someone who believes every allegation or claim on the internet to be true) and "rodomontade" (boastful talk or behaviour).
Shashi Tharoor won the Lok Sabha elections from Thiruvananthapuram for the third time in a row, defeating his rivals and exit poll predictions. Tharoor is also a writer - some of his books include An Era of Darkness: The British Empire in India (2016), The Paradoxical Prime Minister (2018), among many others.
Kamala Harris
Kamala Devi Harris is an Indian-American politician and lawyer. In January 2019, she announced that she will be running a campaign to nominate for President of the USA in 2020. Harris is California's third female US senator; she has provided her support in integral matters under single payer healthcare and tax burdens. Harris had a multicultural background; she was born with Indian roots and was raised in a black community.
Gita Gopinath
This Indian-American economist is working as a professor for International Studies and Economics at Harvard University. Gita Gopinath was appointed as the chief economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2018. She has also worked as an economic advisor to the chief minister of Kerala previously. Gopinath was also a co-editor of the American Economic Review between the years 2017-2018.
Sundar Pichai
Sundar Pichai has created the world's most popular search engine that we use on a daily basis today - Google. The India-based engineer introduced many developments including Google Drive and Google Chrome. From applying knowledge based on production management and innovation to becoming the CEO, Pichai advises students to follow their dream, no matter where it takes you. He is also known for having insane numerical recall and can remember almost every number he has ever dialed.
Mindy Kaling
Mindy Kaling, born Vera Mindy Chokalingam, is an Indian-American actress, comedian, writer, producer, and director. She is most famous for her role as Kelly Kapoor in the US TV show, The Office. She is also known for her series titled The Mindy Project. Born to Indian parents in Cambridge, Massachusetts, she is a talented screenwriter and performer and one of the first Indian-American women to grace the screen. Although Kaling is an Indian, she had to learn Hindi from scratch for the movie Ocean's 8.
Deepika Padukone
Padukone's film Padmaavat hit Rs 500 crores, making her the first Indian celebrity to be on the Forbes list of richest Indians among the top five. Her elegant appearance in the Cannes Film Festival 2019 surely turned heads. She is also Asia's most followed woman on twitter. The Time magazine named her among the 100 most influential people in the world.  
Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh is an Indian actor and a household Bollywood name. He is one of the highest-paid actors in the country, and often gets featured in Forbes India's 'Celebrity 100' list. He has also won several awards and received critical praise for his performance in Padmaavat, which released in 2018. Before making it big in Bollywood, Ranveer Singh started off as a copywriter with an ad agency.
Balkrishna Doshi
Balkrishna Doshi is an important figure of Indian architecture and an urban planner who won the Pritzker Prize in 2018, the award regarded as architecture's highest honour. He has designed the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, cultural spaces including the Tagore Memorial Hall in Ahmedabad, and many others. Doshi is well known for providing affordable housing throughout India back in 1973.
Kal Penn
Kal Penn, born Kalpen Suresh Modi, is an American actor, producer and a former civil servant. He has acted in several television programmes, including the popular television series How I Met Your Mother in 2011. Penn also taught Cinema Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, as a visiting lecturer. Previously, he was the Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement. As of 2019, Penn plays the role of Garett Modi on the NBC comedy Sunnyside.
