Wide media coverage in Pakistan for Sheikh Mohamed visit

The visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to Islamabad on Sunday and his meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Cabinet has been accorded a wide coverage in the Pakistani electronic and print media.
During his meeting with Pakistani officials, Sheikh Mohamed expressed his confidence in the development of the UAE-Pakistan relations in all sectors. He said that the UAE focuses on supporting all efforts to achieve development, security and peace at regional and international levels through its constructive initiatives.
Sheikh Mohamed noted that his close relationship with Pakistan started at a very young age, during his childhood, adding that he was "lucky" to be in Pakistan on his first official foreign visit during 2019.
Pakistan Television and Radio Pakistan broadcasted live coverage of the historic visit of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
The visit was also in the headlines in Urdu news channels, particularly Dawn News, Geo News, Dunya News, and Express News television channels, and in English language newspapers like Dawn, The News International, The Nation, The Express Tribune, and Daily Times.
The meeting of Sheikh Mohamed with Imran Khan and other top Pakistani officials was also given elaborated coverage in Urdu dailies like Jang, Nawa-i-Waqt, Express, and Daily Pakistan.
Imran Khan's gesture of driving the car in which Sheikh Mohamed was sitting, to the Prime Minister House in Islamabad, was also relayed as breaking news. Dawn newspaper published a photo credited to the Government of Pakistan Twitter account, with a caption saying, "Prime Minister Imran Khan drives the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to PM House in Islamabad."

The guard of honour, especially fly-past of JF-17 Thunders, was also given significant coverage by the media.
Dunya News TV in its website, said, "This is the third interaction between the leadership of Pakistan and UAE in less than three months, which is a testimony to the special nature of brotherly relations between the two countries."
Geo News wrote that Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, was decorated with Pakistani and UAE flags on the occasion of the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

Portraits of the Founding Father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, were also displayed, and described by Dawn News TV, "Islamabad has been decked out with billboards and panaflexes welcoming the visiting crown prince. Some of these billboards read, "Sheikh Zayed in our hearts" and " Pakistan-UAE partners in Development".
Pakistani media also highlighted the fact that this is Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's first visit to Pakistan since 2007.
