Weather Fit for Beach Fun, Dune Bashing

ABU DHABI — Beach-goers can head for the beaches and dune bashers can safely take to the adventure as the sandstorms that had been sweeping the UAE since Tuesday evening will calm down today, said a spokesperson of the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology on Thursday.

The forecaster did not rule out prevalence of slight dust today, but it will not affect visibility levels on the highways. The seas will be normal today.

There is no caution for beach-goers as the weather will be fine today and in the next few days. In case of any caution to be exercised, the NCMS will advise residents soon, the spokesperson said.

The overall weather will be comparatively pleasant with a 44 degree Celsius during the day today. From Saturday north-easterly wind will begin to blow, bringing back normal weather conditions in the country, the forecaster explained. The mercury will begin to fluctuate between 42 and 48 degree Celsius in most parts of the country.

The maximum temperature will be around 48 degree Celsius in the country while northern and mountainous areas will witness few degrees less with lower humidity levels from Saturday.

It was partly cloudy on Thursday with slight dust, but visibility was not affected.
