In a video that has been making rounds on Facebook, a female reporter is seen being slapped by a police officer during a report in Pakistan.
The reporter, Saima Kanwal of K21 News Channel was questioning the police officer in the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) when the officer attempted to stop filming. Ms Kanwal then approached the man and appeared to touch his uniform when she received a slap to the face. The camera fell to the ground as sounds of gunfire and screaming could be heard.

The video has sparked concern in social media with debates about police brutality, violence against women and media ethics coming to fore.
Since this writing, a complaint was lodged against the officer and a counter claim has been filed by Nadra against the Kanwal for creating "hindrances in official work."
