Want a job with Dubai Police? Be prepared to meet Saeed Al Farhan, a robot who is interviewing jobseekers at 'Careers UAE', the three-day job fair held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
"The robot can work without any human interference, however, we do have a team to assist him whenever required," said Captain Saood Obaid Almansoori, Head of Scholarship Section, HR, Dubai Police.
The pavilion is uniquely designed keeping in mind Dubai government's aim of spreading happiness. There are separate lines for men and women in order to encourage female participation in the interview process.
The entire interview process is being conducted in five simple steps:
Step 1: The candidate needs to fill out a form and receive a Police Clearance Certificate. This certificate ensures that the candidate doesn't have any criminal record.
Step 2: The candidate should then take the 'smart' exam that would assess his/her personality and psychology
Step 3: The candidate will then have a face-to-face chat with the Dubai Police robot. In case they make it to the next round, they will receive an SMS.
Step 4:  The candidate can then proceed for a health examination.
Step 5: If the health check-up results are positive, the candidate will fill a 'smart survey' that has 17 questions.
Dubai Police announced 146 vacancies ahead of the job fair.
