When two giants meet, it's always a sight to behold. Just check out the stunning moment when the supermoon rose behind Dubai's Burj Khalifa.
In a video shared on Twitter, Downtown Dubai showed the captivating moment when the supermoon moved past Dubai's Burj Khalifa. While Downtown Dubai's tweet doesn't specify which supermoon it was, we know that the first supermoon of the year graced the skies on January 20-21.
According to an earlier Khaleej Times report, the Dubai Astronomy Group organised a viewing of 2019's first supermoon at Mushrif Park. The total phase of the lunar eclipse was not visible in the UAE but was still observed as a penumbral lunar eclipse in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The supermoon last January is the only total lunar eclipse of the year. There will be a partial lunar eclipse in July, which means the moon won't be fully inside Earth's shadow. But plenty of it will be covered. That one will be easily seen from Africa, Europe, and parts of Asia.
