A police station in Uttar Pradesh turned into a wedding venue when policemen organised the wedding ceremony of Vinay Kumar and Neha Verma.
The couple had eloped after their parents objected to their marriage, an NDTV report stated.
The families filed a missing complaint with the Mohammadpur Khala Police Station.
"The boy and the girl were missing for two days... their parents had come to the police station to file a report. After the investigation, the police found that they were adults and wanted to get married...so the wedding was arranged," Digambar Kushwaha, a police officer, told news agency ANI.
The whole wedding was organised by police and a room in the police station was also decorated with flowers and a feast laid out. The groom arrived in a traditional way on a horse. The family finally accept the couple and clicked pictures with the newlyweds.
