A massive fire broke out in a house here in the Old Belad area of the emirate of Umm Al Quwain on Monday afternoon.
The central operations room of the UAQ Police, having been alerted of the collision, dispatched traffic police, ambulances, paramedics and rescue teams to the site in a record time.
The civil defence firefighters managed to put out the blaze before it spread to nearby houses. No injuries were reported, according to Col Khamis Ibrahim Bulsali, acting director of the UAQ civil defence department.
