Video: Ras Al Khaimah civil defence rescue goat stuck in mountain

Dubai - The frightened animal could be seen trapped on a cleft 55 metres above the ground.

A goat that was stuck atop a Jebel Jais mountain was rescued and safely handed over to its owner, thanks to a daring rescue operation by the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defense.
Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, Director of Civil Defence Department in Ras Al Khaimah, said the operation room received information from the owner seeking help to rescue his goat that got trapped in the mountains and could not find its way back. In no time, a team set out to the mountains, armed with a tall ladder and ropes.
In a video posted on the RAK Civil Defence Instagram account, the frightened animal could be seen trapped on a cleft 55 metres above the ground. The team first set up the extendable ladder. Wearing all the safety gears, one of the team members took the steep climb using the ladder. With the help of a rope, he neatly tied up the petrified animal and eased it down to the ground.
