Venues for Eid prayers

ABU DHABI - Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Auqaf, has approved the list of mosques and mussallas throughout the country where Eid Al Adha prayers will be held tomorrow at around 7.20am.

According to Ahmed bin Mubarak Al Kindi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Islamic Affairs and Auqaf at the Ministry, the designated mussallas and mosques have been fully prepared for the occasion.

Mr Kindi urged Muslims to pray for the return of the occupied Islamic sacred places and protection of the Arab and Islamic nation. He also called on his fellow Muslims to pray for the health of the President, His Highness Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The 390 mussallas and mosques include 79 in Abu Dhabi, 44 in Bani Yas, 53 in Al Ain, 35 in the Western Region, 56 in Sharjah, 28 in Ajman, five in Umm Al Quwain, 34 in Ras Al Khaimah, and 13 mosques in the Eastern Region, Khorfakkan, Kalba, Diba Al Hisn. List of Mussallas and mosques offering Eid prayer in Dubai was published in yesterday's issue of Khaleej Times.

In Abu Dhabi, the main prayer will be held at the Eid Mussalla where the sermon will be delivered by Abdul Hamid Al Mansour. At the Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed the First Mosque, the congregation will be led by Al Sayed Ali Al Hashmi, Religious and Judicial Adviser at the Presidential Court. At the Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan the First Mosque, prayers will be led by Nasser Hamdan, while at the Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan mosque, the congregation will be led by Ahmed Mousa Al Mousa. At the Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed mosque , the sermon will be delivered by Abdul Monem Faraj.

Other main venues include Al Markhanyia west Shakhbut, Al Markhanyia Al Musaqara, Al Jimi, Al Tawyia, Mazyad, Al Dhaher, Umm Ghafa, Al Neyadat, Al Mutawaa, Al Salamat, Al Yahr Al Shamali, Suwaihan, Al Faqqa, Al Heer, Al Shuwaib, Al Doaa, Hili, Al Qatara, Zakher, Al Shabyia, and Al Wagan.

In Bani Yas, prayers will be held at main mosques including Fatima Khalifa Al Muraikhi mosque, Al Hussian Ibin Al Harith Ibn Abdul Muttalib, Mutee Ibn Al Aswad Al Qurashi, Saif bin Masoud Al Dhahiri, Al Rawashid, Al Obaidli, Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal, Ahmed Salim AL Muhairbi, Jami Bani Yas, Muaan Ibn Udai, Abdulla Ibn Rabeei.

In the Western Region, prayers will be offered at Eid musalla (Madinat Zayed), Eid musalla (Baynounah), Eid muasslla in Liwa, Mubarak Habwa, Ussayyan, Saleem Ali Fadhil, Amru Ibn Al Jamouh, Amru Ibn Al Muaaz, Ali Obaid Suwaidan, Mohammed Abdulla, Abu Mosa Al Ashari, Ammar Ibn Yasser, Al Arqam Ibn Al Arqam, and Al Hareth Ibn Qais.

Sharjah: Al Badei Mussalla, Sharjah Musalla, Samnan Mussalla, Al Falaj Mussalla, King Faisal Mosque, Al Maqfira Mosque, bin Darwish Mosque, Abu Hanifa, Shaikh Rashid, Tariq Ibn Zeyad, Abdullah Ibn Rawaha, Zayd Ibn Al Arqam, Samir Al Mahmoud, Ibn Baz, Biza Al Sabah, Al Hairah.

Ajman: Ajman Mussalla, Rashid Ibn Humaid Al Nuaimi, Ahmed Ibn hanbal, Safwat Mussalla, Mizairei, Al Sobaigha, Al Khanfariya Mussalla, Al Manama Mussalla, Al Hasawi Mosque, Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan, Amr Ibn Abdul Aziz, Tamim Ibn Aws Al Dari, Bilal Ibn Rabah, Imam Malik, Imam Bukhari, Uqba Ibn Amr Al Ansari, Luqman Al Haqim.
