Jean-Richard Prosper, Committee Expert and Rapporteur for the report, said that UAE had increased its collaboration with the United Nations, which the Committee applauded.

The UAE’s commitment to collaborate with the United Nations and its various agencies was obvious and should be commended, said Prosper.

The Committee also noted that UAE was progressing in the right direction.

It also acknowledged that the UAE had taken serious efforts to combat human trafficking and other forms of organised crimes.

The UAE is using its success to move forward and make a difference.

Many basic human rights for citizens are enshrined in the constitution, the Committee observed.

Abdul Rahim Yusuf Alawadi, UAE’s Assistant Minister for Legal Affairs and International Organisations had presented on Wednesday, the combined 12-16 reports of the UAE on its implementation of the provisions of the International Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination.
