Umm Al Nar fire under control, no causalities
Civil Defence and Abu Dhabi Police teams have brought under control a small fire that broke out this morning in of the boilers at the power generating facility in the Umm Al Nar Island.
The firefighters could extinguish it within less than an hour preventing the blaze from reaching other units at the facility.
There are no casualties according to the head of Rescue and Rapid Response Unit Lieutenant t. Colonel Sultan Al Hosani.
The teams took around 45 minutes to extinguish the fire and an additional hour to cool the place.
An investigation into the cause of the incident is underway, the Police officer added.
