The MoE will also construct 10 laboratories for use by the government schools located in UAQ.

Stating this during a field visit to several government schools affiliated to UAQ education zone, Dr Hanif Hassan, Minister of Education, said the ministry will appoint supervisors for these labs.

The ministry also will set up sport halls and gymnasiums, he said. The specialists will be recruited according to the number of students at these schools, he noted.

The MoE also proposes to conduct a demographic study of school buildings in association with a specialised company to facilitate the work of modernising their designs, the minister said. The study will be completed by the coming April, he added. ''We are coordinating now to set up a new school building to be located in the premises of Al Watan School,'' Dr. Hanif said.

The minister praised the administration and educational staff in the UAQ education zone.

The field visit was in compliance with the instructions of His Highness Shaikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to find a solution to all the obstacles that hinder the developmental processes in the field of education.
