UAE’s hockey team dedicates achievement to leadership

Their Highnesses Supreme Council members and Rulers of the Emirates, Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi’s Executive Council and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

Chairman of the UAE Ice Hockey Association and President of Abu Dhabi Ice Sports Club Dr. Ahmad Mubarak Al Mazrouei, in a statement today, hailed the support extended to sports by Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The UAE beat Greece and Georgia in the qualifiers for the Ice Hockey World Championship Division III boosting their hopes of a berth in the finals in South Africa next year.

They congratulated the people of the UAE on the achievement which makes the UAE the only Arab country to make it to the championship which will take place in South Africa next year.
