Receiving members of the Lebanese community in the UAE yesterday, Gen. Shaikh Mohammed said the UAE would continue its support for the re-construction of Lebanon.

“The UAE hopes to see Lebanon regain its stability and the Lebanese government controlling all the country’s territories. The Lebanese people are capable of re-building their country and reviving its economy and tourism,” Gen. Shaikh Mohammed said while addressing representatives of the Lebanese community, who were accompanied by Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Hassan Bro, the Lebanese ambassador.

Gen. Shaikh Mohammed also expressed UAE’s readiness to help resolve the problem of education, caused by displacement of thousands of Lebanese.

The Lebanese ambassador thanked the government and people of the UAE for the great help being given to the Lebanese people.
