Dubai - Motorists urged to follow safety rules as the rain, strong winds and fog are expected to continue in the coming days.

Motorists driving from Sharjah towards Dubai faced heavy traffic on Monday morning.
Authorities have issued warning advisories to residents, urging everyone to take extra precaution when heading out, as rains lashed across the country on Sunday.

The Abu Dhabi Traffic Police reminded motorists to go slow and follow traffic safety rules as the rain, strong winds and fog are expected to continue in the coming days.
"Drivers should drive safely and leave enough distance between vehicles amid the heavy fog and poor visibility, especially during early morning hours and at night," an officer said. Police also urged motorists to avoid overtaking, use low beam lights, and refrain from using hazard lights.
According to Google Maps, an accident was reported on S119 road near Industrial Area 10 caused huge tailbacks towards Dubai.
Major delays were reported on the Shaikh Mohammad bin Zayed Road from National Paints intersection to Mirdif City Centre, as drivers were gridlocked in traffic jams.
Tailbacks were reported near Dubai Silicone Oasis, Ras Al Khor Road, Business Bay and on Shaikh Mohammad bin Zayed Road and near Jumeirah Village Triangle.
