These views were expressed by Shaikh Mohammed during a meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak here yesterday.
The two leaders exchanged views on fraternal relations between the two countries, as well as ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the economic, commercial and tourism fields.
They also discussed current developments in the Arab world and efforts to achieve peace in Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon.
Shaikh Mohammed and President Mubarak also attended presentations on the investments to be made in Egypt by a number of Dubai-based companies, including four projects to be developed in Cairo by Sama Properties, the investment arm of Dubai Holding. The projects will provide four million job opportunities to Egyptian and Arab youth.
They also attended a presentation on Emaar Properties projects in Egypt, the total value of which is estimated at 43 billion Egyptian pounds. The projects entail construction of houses, hotels, resorts, shopping malls and mixed-use developments.
Dubai Port World (DPW) gave a presentation about its international portfolio of over 50 ports and terminals around the world. The presentation also touched on its proposal to buy the Ain Al Sukhna terminal in Egypt.
Nakheel, one of the world’s largest development companies showcased its current projects including the Palms, the Water Front and The World.
President Mubarak and Shaikh Mohammed discussed Dubai’s development plans. Shaikh Mohammed said that each country should strive to develop its infrastructure and resources to build a robust economy and to provide job opportunities and decent living standards to its citizens.
Earlier, on arrival in Dubai Hosni Mubarak was recived by Shaikh Mohammed, who accompanied him on a motorcade tour of Dubai.
