He said prominent businessmen and chairmen of chambers of commerce and industry in Abu Dhabi and Dubai would attend the forum being held this year on the theme: "The Promise of a New Generation".

''Agenda of the WEF concerns all countries in the region and the UAE specifically. There will be a dynamic and effective participation of the public and private sector as well as NGOs,'' the envoy said, adding that around 1100 delegates representing 50 countries including head of states, premiers and CEOs would take part in the forum.

He disclosed that Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak has invited the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to attend workshops at the forum and Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Nadhef has also sent a similar invitation to His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

He explained that UAE Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan will take part in the world gathering.

A discussion circle, he indicated, would bring together both Palestinian and Israeli youths in addition to another dedicated session for reviewing latest developments on the Palestinian Cause in the presence of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The ambassador announced that the forum's agenda covers four key axes: the economy, rule of law and democracy, challenges of unemployment and migration, and peace, security and international relations.

''The cultural issues will also take centre stage at the forum's deliberations, especially following the recent uproar sparked by the publishing of blasphemous drawings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Denmark,'' he remarked.

Deputy US Secretary of State will address special session on the future of US policy and reforms in the Middle East.
