He said that the UAE had made unprecedented progress in all walks of life under the wise leadership of Shaikh khalifa. He added that he was delighted to visit the UAE and meet President Shaikh Khalifa.
He explained that his trip to the UAE reflected the firm desire of the leaderships of the two friendly countries to expand the areas of mutual understanding and cooperation.
Later, Shaikh Khalifa hosted a banquet in honour of the Tajik president and his delegation.
Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and a number of Shaikhs, ministers and top civilian and military officials attended the talks and the banquet.
Earlier, the Tajik president was welcomed at the airport by Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Oweis, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
