UAE students on study tour of France and US

DUBAI — Some 33 candidates of the Young Leaders Programme under the auspices of the Mohammed bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (MRBPLD) have started their cross-country educational tour of France and USA today.

The candidates, who are all young local leaders of the United Arab Emirates between the age of 27 and 35, will attend a series of lectures and workshops in Fontainebleau, France after which they will travel to Seattle, USA.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (MBRPLD) is an innovative leadership programme aimed at developing national leaders, who are willing and able to promote the sustainable development of the UAE.

This programme, which carries the theme ‘Dubai Opening’ will enable the candidates to meet high-ranking French officials and interact with renowned scholars and experts during their stay in France.

Adel Al Shared, MBRPLD Director and Executive Council Director of Nationals Development, said that the participants will be exposed to highly enriching discussions and interaction with some of the most prominent personalities of France.

Among the topics lined up for the workshops and panel discussions are key factors of Dubai's advantage, drivers of corner scenarios for Dubai, macroeconomics of growth and a comprehensive outlook on the global economy, among others.
