UAE royals are sending their best wishes to UAE's first Emirati astronaut Hazza Al Mansoori as 15 days remain until he lifts off to space for his eight-day journey to the International Space Station.
Al Mansoori and his backup Sultan Al Neyadi are leaving for the launch city, Baikonur in Kazakhstan, on September 10 after his farewell ceremony in Russia's Star City.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, tweeted: "A historical space mission, Emirati ambition and a new challenge that will see the light soon by the hand of our people. Impressive journey the whole world will witness. We wish you success. May Allah guide you to serve our precious country.
"I was keen to communicate with the UAE astronauts Hazza Al Mansoori and Sultan Al Neyadi through a personal phone call to check on them and to express how proud the leadership and people of the UAE are."

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, also sent his best wishes to the astronaut in a tweet.
"All the best to the UAE astronauts Hazza Al Mansoori and Sultan Al Neyadi before heading to Kazakhstan, where the next stage on the 25th is the trip to the International Space Station. We are proud of your efforts and look forward to seeing the name of the UAE rising in space and on Earth," Sheikh Hazza's tweet said.
