UAE, Qatar to enhance security cooperation

ABU DHABI — The UAE and Qatar have held bilateral talks on enhancing cooperation in the field of security.

Officials from the respective interior ministries met here in this regard.

Director of Central Operations Department at the Abu Dhabi Police Directorate, Brigadier Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, underlined the importance of exchanging visits between the law-enforcement agencies all over the world.

Such visits are important for the significant role they play in enriching the security expertise and information as well as in getting acquainted with the latest developments in the use of hi-tech apparatus, he said.

Brig. Al Raisi made the remarks while welcoming the Qatari delegation led by Colonel Engineer Ali Salem Al Khazab, Director of Communications and Operations Department.

Brig. Al Raisi briefed the delegation on the strategic development plan the Abu Dhabi Police is pursuing.
