UAE one of the world’s safest places: Saif bin Zayed

ABU DHABI - The United Arab Emirates is considered one of the world’s safest countries, according to Lt. General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister.

In a statement made today to mark opening of the International Security and National Resilience 2010 (ISNR) commenced on the 1st of March 2010 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Sheikh Saif that the event is being held at a time when the UAE gained the capabilities and experience in events organising according to international standards, thanks to the keen efforts of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and General H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

“The UAE is blessed by being one of the world’s safest places. This requires us as individuals, communities and organisations to do our best to maintain that stability,” he added.

Sheikh Said indicated that ISNR represents an excellent opportunity for the region’s governments to exchange expertise and to share best practices in homeland security.

ISNR 2010 is held under the patronage of H.H General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
