Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, has said that greater emphasis would be laid on the project, which focuses on exchanging electronic information between the two countries, according to Major General Saif Abdullah Al Shafar, under-secretary of the Ministry of Interior of the UAE.

The project envisages a joint action mechanism between the ministries of the two countries for dealing with all kinds of transactions.

Major General Shafar was speaking during his visit to the Naturalisation and Residency Section in Hatta and the Hatta passports check point. He also visited the Civil Defence Centre of the city, which shares a border with the Sultanate of Oman. Major General Shafar said that the Ministry of Interior provides all facilities, including the latest high technology equipment, required by its affiliated departments to function efficiently.
