UAE national doctors to get training in Canada
ABU DHABI — UAE national doctors will avail of an advanced international practical training course in Canada, under an annual programme organised by the Emirates Medical Association (EMA).
“National doctors in different specialities can apply for the medical training programme in Canada, which is arranged and conducted by the Board of Directors of the EMA in Abu Dhabi,” said Dr Abdul Ghadir Hadi, organiser of the Post-Graduate Medical Education Abroad at the EMA.
He said the programme is tailored for a duration of four to five years and that doctors can even go for subspeciality once they do an extra two years.
“Most of the training courses in this programme take four to five years. If doctors wish to do a subspeciality he or she have to complete seven years,” said Dr Hadi.
He mentioned that the medical training programmes for national doctors in Canada, is supported by different health authorities in the country.
