UAE is faring well, says Mohammed

DUBAI - “Our state is faring well and our community is open to others from all spectrum of races and faiths who are pursuing justice, stability, co-existence, security and tolerance,” said His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at a meeting with CEOs of Arab and international companies operating in the UAE on Friday.

Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, was also present.

Shaikh Mohammed said he was pleased to see that a huge crowd of businessmen and investors working and living with their families under the wings of the UAE community which preserves its genuine Arab and Islamic roots and extends its hands to other cultures and civilisations.

Shaikh Mohammed and the businessmen exchanged views on local, regional and global economic conditions amid signs of projected economic growth.

The businessmen thanked Shaikh Mohammed for his care about their living and working conditions, saying the meeting demonstrates the keenness of Shaikh Mohammed to deliver comfort and stability to all segments of the UAE society as well as maintaining security and peace in the UAE community which is well respected by Arabs and foreigners.

They emphasised that they are confident of the vibrancy of their businesses and investment in the flourishing UAE economy despite the world economic slowdown.

They also voiced their confidence in the UAE economy and in the wise, balanced policy adopted by the UAE leadership and government for serving Emiratis, stimulating economic development and establishing the UAE’s good image at international scenes.

Shaikh Mohammed hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of his guests.
