UAE initiative for training Moroccan doctors

RABAT— Belgian doctors have arrived in Morocco to launch a four-day training programme for 30 Moroccan doctors and emergency paramedics under the ’training without borders’ plan.

The training is part of ‘The Zayed Initiative’, a joint heart treatment programme of the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) and Emirates World Heart Group (Ewhg) to train a total of 300 Moroccan medical staff in cooperaion with the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).

Executive director of the Zayed Initiative, Dr Adel Al Shameri, said that the team would provide world class training using the state-of-the-art technology.

The initiative, he added, is the world’s first voluntary and non-profit medical training programme.
