UAE, Comoros keen to promote relations
ABU DHABI — The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received President Ahmed Abdallah Sambi of Comoros at Al Bateen Palace here yesterday.
Shaikh khalifa welcomed his guest and expressed the desire for increased friendly relations between the two countries. The meeting reviewed ways of expanding areas of cooperation, especially in humanitarian and economic fields.
The two leaders exchanged views on the latest developments in the international and African affairs.
Comoros president praised the progress made by the UAE in all fields. He said that he was delighted at to visit the UAE and meet Shaikh Khalifa. He said that his country was grateful to the UAE for its continuous assistance to African countries affected by poverty and natural calamities.
The meeting was attended by a number of Shaikhs, ministers and senior officials.
