According to Obeid Ibrahim Al Za’abi, Director of the Foreign Ministry’s Department of Consular Affairs, the UAE Foreign Ministry had received a memorandum to that effect from its Iranian counterpart saying that the Iranian authorities had decided to give UAE citizens traveling to Iran a seven-day entry visa on condition that the validity of the passport of the visa recipient is not less than six months. He said the Iranian authorities had earmarked four airports where the facility can be obtained.

The airports include the Imam Al Khomeini airport, Mahrabad airport, Shiraz airport and Tabreez airport.

In the case of those who want to stay in Iran for over one week, they are required to obtain a visa either at the Iranian Embassy or the Consulate General in Dubai.
