The incident occurred near Al Sa'ada Bridge on Sheikh Zayed Road. While the buses were damaged in the incident, the children were unharmed, according to police.
Brigadier General Mohammad Dahi Al Humairi from the Traffic and Patrols Directorate said that the operations room received a report about the incident in the morning, following which police patrol and ambulances were sent to the accident scene.
The children were taken out of the damaged buses safely.
Al Humairi urged school bus drivers to drive carefully and to abide by traffic rules and regulations to avoid accidents.
