Two killed as cars collide
DUBAI — Two Asians were killed when a car veered to the right lane and hit three other cars near the Dock Roundabout on Emirates Ring Road yesterday.
They have been identified as Grasim and his companion Khan M.
The police said the accident took place when a driver, 29-year-old Qasim, lost control over his vehicle which veered to the right lane, hitting three cars one after another. The rescue team of the Dubai Police had to use hydraulic scissors to cut open one of the smashed cars to pull out Grasim and Khan who were trapped inside. The rescue team tried to revive them but they, who had bled heavily, died on the scene, the police said.
