DUBAI — The trial of three Pakistanis — Ghulam Abbas, Ghulam Mohammed and Mumtaz Ali — who stole electric cables worth Dh 53,285 began yesterday at the Dubai Criminal Court.
On July 28, the accused reportedly along with two other persons went to the warehouse of an engineering company in Jebel Ali to steal electric cables.
They used sharp tools to cut the copper cables so that it would be easier to carry them as they made good their escape.
But a police patrol spotted them and nabbed them.
However, two of them managed to flee while the others were arrested.
