Training courses for lawyers

ABU DHABI — Two training courses will be organised for lawyers in Sharjah, Dr Mohammed Al Kamali, Director General of the Board of Judicial Institute, has said.

The decision was taken by the Board at a meeting yesterday. The Minister of Justice, Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Daheri, presided over the meeting.

The training courses will be imparted in morning and evening hours. While the morning course is free of charge, those wishing to pursue the evening course will be required to pay Dh6,000 as fee.

Dr Al Kamali also informed that 151 training programmes were organised in 2006, benefiting some 2,905 participants, compared to 57 programmes in 2005, providing training to 1,150 people.

The Board meeting also approved the training plan for 2007 and the new regulations for training, Dr Al Kamali added.
