Announcing this, Brigadier Mohammed Saif Al Zafin, Director of General Department of Traffic of Dubai Police, said the traffic police officers will be on the roads to direct the movement of vehicles to alternative roads in case of congestion, control arrogant drivers who break traffic laws, prevent drivers from crossing yellow box or overtake through hard shoulders, and maintain lane discipline.
Al Zafin said the traffic police are instructed to be on roads to prevent reckless drivers from endangering people’s lives. They will be deployed at 28 intersections in the morning, 18 of them in Deira and 10 in Bur Dubai.
