It’s a book that describes the basics of physics in simple terms — and just the fact that Woods had been reading it has been enough to get people all over world wanting to get their hands on it. Dr Gribbins’ book was published in 2003 and despite being out of print for the last four years, has shot up the Amazon sales rankings from 396,224th place to 2,268th with second-hand copies fetching £45 pounds, reported The Telegraph. An astronomy professor at Sussex University, Brighton, East Sussex, Dr Gribbins, has been quoted in the paper as saying: “I am delighted that anybody is reading my books. I just wish it was one that is still in print. Tiger Woods is certainly one of the target audience. He is an intelligent layman who has time to dip into a book like this on the plane between engagements... The book is aimed at non-scientists interested in big physics stories but it is 10 years old now and hard to get hold of.”

And now, the Munnabhai book

After regaling audiences world over and finding a place in Oscar library, popular characters and the witty dialogues of the Hindi movie Lage Raho Munnabhai have come alive again in the form of a book. It was a date with history for the cast and crew of the film directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra when the film’s script was launched as a book by Om Books International in collaboration with Vinod Chopra Films on Monday evening. Actors Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, producer Vidhu Vinod Copra and director Rajkumar Hirani along with Shantanu Moitra, Abhijat Joshi were present at the launch. Chopra said, “Munnabhai has become such a lovable character that it became imperative that the script of the film is brought out in form of a book.” — PTI
