With windy and overcast conditions prevailing in most parts of the country, showers have been due for the last couple of days, said a duty forecaster at the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).
“Conditions have been cloudy in some internal and coastal areas of the UAE, but the density of the cloud is likely to increase tomorrow (Saturday) and strong winds are likely to move those clouds over the coastal areas of the UAE.
“There is great likelihood that these clouds would burst open,” said the duty forecaster.
Met officials also suggested a possible dip in minimum temperature over the next couple of days, dropping from current 28 degree Celsius to 25 degree Celsius by Tuesday.
While the sea conditions will remain mostly stable, fishermen have been urged to take precautions as they might come across intermittent spells of rough weather.
