SHARJAH - Three workers, who were injured when the Al Dhaid building roof collapsed on Thursday, have been already discharged from hospital. In the accident, five workers were killed and six injured.
Five of the workers were admitted to Al Dhaid Hospital, while one who was in critical condition was transferred to Kuwaiti Hospital in Sharjah.
A doctor at the hospital in Al Dhaid said three workers discharged on Friday were in good condition. While, the remaining two - one suffering from minor dislocation of the jaw bone, and the other from cement burns around his eyes, have been examined and are in good condition. There is no internal eye injury or major jaw fracture reported.
The doctor, however, said that the injured worker who was in critical condition and transferred to Kuwaiti Hospital has been booked for a spinal fixation surgery soon.
The roof collapse of a government building under construction in Al Dhaid on Thursday had killed six workers and left six others injured.
The injured were immediately rushed to the neighbouring Al Dhaid Hospital, while one of the injured was moved to Kuwaiti Hospital in Sharjah the same day.
