The three had been deported after they were caught staying illegally in the country.

Addressing the media on Sunday, Lt-Col.Adnan Al Zaabi, head the Preventive Security Section in Ras Al Khaimah Police, said the three had destroyed their old passports that bore the ‘entry ban’ stickers. They obtained new passports in Bangladesh, of which there were no records with the UAE immigration offices.

Lt-Col. Al Zaabi said a Bangladeshi employee at Ras Al Khaimah airport had approached a woman immigration supervisor, who was in charge of the iris scan, for help to allow the three Bangladeshis to be exempted from iris scan. The woman superviser alerted the police. She was promised Dh3,000 as advance payment and another Dh3,000 after the deal materialised, he said.
