Three Emiratis killed in two accidents

SHARJAH — Three UAE nationals, including a 10-year-old girl and two men, aged 21 and 23, died on the spot and four persons sustained serious injuries in two separate accidents in Sharjah in the early morning on Sunday.

In the first accident that took place at 4am on Shaikh Soud bin Sultan Al Qasimi Roundabout, the Emirati girl who was sitting in the front seat of her father’s car was killed after their car collided with another car. Two other members of the family, who were injured in the accident, were rushed to Al Qasimi Hospital by the ambulance unit of the Sharjah Police.

Two youths were killed on the spot and two others were injured while the four-wheeler they were travelling overturned on the Flying Soccer Roundabout at 4am due to over speeding.

Col. Mohammed Eid Al Madloum, Director of the Operation Room at Sharjah Police, said that during the weekend, four people were killed in different incidents in Sharjah. This include the death of a Pakistani national who was run over by a speeding car on air port road. afkarali@khaleejtimes.com
