Three die in RAK road accident

RAS AL KHAIMAH - Three Pakistani nationals died on the spot and three others sustained serious injuries on Monday morning when two cars collided on Al Saad Street in Ras Al Khaimah.

Col. Hassan Rashid Al Buraiki, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Licensing Department in RAK, said the accident took place at around 6am when one of the drivers tried to overtake another vehicle on a two-way road.

All the three occupants of the overtaking car including the driver died and while two others in the other car suffered injuries. Col. Al Buraiki urged motorists to always drive with care and to avoid speeding. He also called on drivers to always adhere to the traffic rules and regulations including avoiding overtaking in the no-overtaking areas of the roads.
