The accident, which took place in the afternoon on Al Madam-Dubai roads near Al Badayer area in Sharjah, caused traffic congestion in the area.

The three victims were identified as Fazul Ahmed Dad, 48, Mohammed Rashed Abdul Hameed, 35, and Amjad Khan, 25.

Capt. Mohammed Abdul Hakeem from Sharjah Police Operations Room told Khaleej Times that the Pakistani truck driver Fazul Ahmed was driving rashly without bothering about keeping safe distance between his truck and the truck in front that was being driven by an Indian, P. Singh.

The Indian driver was safe and was released by the police as the accident was not his mistake, said Capt Mohammed. The bodies of the deceased were taken to Al Dhaid Hospital.
