Thousands passed through Dubai entry points during Eid

Dubai - Number of smart gate users at the Dubai airports has also seen a whopping 84,626.

The general directorate of residency and foreigners affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) has carried out 21,508

entry and residence permits transactions during the Eid Al Fitr holidays. Meanwhile, the total number of entry and exit movements through air, land and sea ports reached 815,725 during the four-day break.

The number of smart gate users at the Dubai airports has also seen a whopping 84,626 during the Eid break.

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, director-general of GDRFA Dubai, said: "The GDRFA Dubai seeks to maintain its leadership in achieving the highest levels of happiness for customer in line with the directives of the leadership that happiness is a way of life in the UAE society and the supreme goal of government work to bring happiness to the customers."

Al Marri conducted an inspection at the Dubai International Airport, which included arrival and departure halls at the Terminal 1, 2 and 3 accompanied by several top officials in the airports sector.

Major General Al Marri added that the department has adopted shift schedule for employees while Amer Happiness Centre teams continued to follow up the work during the Eid Al Fitr holidays. The Amer hotline number 8005111 for complaints or inquires, has received 7,434 calls during the holidays.

Al Marri added that the Airport service center Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport is open 24 hours all through the week and public holidays to facilitate the procedures of passengers and residents through the airport
