The Holy Quran Memorisation Competition concludes today

DUBAI — The fifth edition of the Holy Quran Memorisation Competition for nationals (Alhafiz Almuwatin) organised by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) draws to a close today with female participants taking their turn at recitation following male contestants who appeared on Monday and Tuesday.

A meeting will be held later today to compile results from the competition in preparation for their presentation to Ibrahim Bu Melha, Chairman of the DIHQA organising committee. Winners and other contestants will be honoured at a ceremony to be staged on August 13 at the Ministry of Education in Al Qusais.

Meanwhile, DIHQA announced that its organising committee has reached an agreement with communication organisations Dubai Media Incorporated, SamaCom and Arabsat to launch a satellite channel that will broadcast the 11th International Holy Quran Competition to be held during the month of Ramadan.
