Thai Air food is ‘halal’
DUBAI — Thai Airways International has certified its kitchens ‘halal’ in response to growing demand from thousands of Muslim travellers each day, a Press release said yesterday.
The airline had recently signed an MoU with the Islamic Committee of Samut Prakarn Province to receive permission for usage of the ‘Halal’ logo by the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand.
Its kitchens now conform to the permissible dietary requirements under the Islamic law. ‘Halal’ food has to meet regulatory standards right from purchasing to production and preparation.
