Technician Pleads Guilty
to Stealing Cell Phone

DUBAI - A 35-year-old Pakistani aircraft technician on Wednesday pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing a mobile phone when he was on duty on November 19 last year.

He is standing trial in the Criminal Court of First Instance.

The complainant, whose mobile phone was stolen after he left it in the company’s car at the Dubai International Airport, reported the matter to the airport police.

CCTV Footage

Thereafter, the police screened the CCTV footage to check who opened the car and stole the phone.

The man was identified and arrested.

The stolen phone, too, was recovered from his possession.

The verdict in the case is expected on February 25.
