DUBAI — In a case of misuse of authority, a teacher in one of the private schools has been accused of leaking question papers of Grade 9 final exams. The teacher also allegedly tried to ask other teachers to leak questions of other subjects to the same student.

The matter came to light when the management of the school received complaints from some students that the teacher had leaked questions. The principal confronted the student, who admitted that the teacher had already sold him history and geography questions.

According to the principal, legal action has been initiated against the violators. Besides, the matter would also be referred to the concerned authorities in the Ministry of Education.

Khalifa bin Faris, director of Dubai Education Zone, said the problem of question paper leaks exists more in private schools.

He said the education zone would never tolerate such violations and will take strict action against those who violated rules.
