ADJD committee handed down the penalty for non-compliance with decisions and directives governing the profession
The mutilated body of Abdullah Habib Umar Khan, 50, a driver for the Metro Taxi company, was discovered in Al Qouz early Friday morning.
Police arriving at the scene found Khan's blood-soaked body lying 20 metres from his taxi.
He had been stabbed several times and left to die in a pool of his own blood.
Detectives believe Khan was attacked by a passenger or passengers sometime on Thursday night. No motive has been established and Khan's wallet and mobile telephone were found locked inside his abandoned taxi.
A spokesman for Metro taxi said Khan had worked as a driver for two years and was a good worker. Khan, a Pakistani, was “very religious and had no enmity with any one”, the spokesman added.
A murder inquiry has been launched and forensic experts are examining the crime scene and have sent Khan's body for laboratory testing.
