Assistant Under Secreatary for Labour Affairs at the Ministry, Humaid bin Deemas Al-Suwaidi said that among the total 732 UAE citizens employed at the Tas’heel centres, 644 men and women are working at the customer support counters and the rest are performing administrative duties.

Al Suwaidi added that the service centers embody the partnership between the public and private sectors in a manner that meets the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which has been translated into the federal government strategy. This is in terms of the distribution of operational roles of government departments to the private sector to ensure the provision of quality service to customers by trained national human resources, he explained.

The licencing of these centres and the monitoring of their performances in line with the directives of Labour Minister Saqr Ghobash have helped to acheive good results, especially in getting nationals employed in the private sector, Al Suwaidi added.

At a meeting called recently to discuss the future plans for expanding the service centres, Al Suwaidi also explained the preconditions for licencing such centres, including nationalisation of the staff and provision of class services to the customers.
