Tariq, Hariri discuss Arab economic progress

SHARJAH - The developments in the economic sectors in the Arab world was a topic of discussion between Rafiq Al Hariri, the Lebanese Prime Minister, and Shaikh Tariq bin Faisal Al Qasimi, chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) and Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), on the sidelines of the ninth Arab Investment and Capital Markets Conference (ACM 2003), which ended on Thursday in Beirut.

The meeting, which was attended by Omar Al Shamsi, Senior Member in the UAE's Embassy in Lebanon, and Mohammad Al Noman, SCTDA Director, focused on the recent developments in Iraq and its impact on the business and investment environment in the Arab world. They also discussed various issues related to Sharjah's future plans in the economic and tourism sectors.
